Okay. I can't believe it. According to an article on Yahoo, Elvis Presley is not the King.
Seriously.
In a recent Poll conducted by Rolling Stone magazine Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul, has been named the greatest singer of the rock era.
Franklin, 66, came in ahead of Ray Charles at No. 2, Elvis Presley at No. 3, Sam Cooke at No. 4 and John Lennon at No. 5, according to the magazine's survey of 179 musicians, producers, Rolling Stone editors, and other music-industry insiders.
The 100-strong list will be published on Friday, when Rolling Stone hits the newsstands with four different covers.
All I can say is, I'm flabbergasted. I'm certain they are wrong. I demand a recount.
Those people at Rolling Stone? What do they know?
Elvis is still King on this blog!

I agree, no one could sing a song
like Elvis.... I suppose the kids
who voted don't even know Elvis's work! I do and the man could sing
garbage and make it sound beautiful!
Rock, country, soul, blues,and
hymns...he did it all... we must protest!!!
I heard you are quite the vocalist yourself, Tristan! Is it true?
Curiously,

We shall never look at Rolling Stone again.

Hubba hubba...yoo look hot in dat suit Tristan! Mom loves Elvis, well, his voice anyway. Dad always sings like him when he is trying to be romantical wif her.
John Lennon? Fifth best singer in 'the rock era' (whatever that is)?? John Lennon sounded like a tom cat singing on a fence.
But we are surprised (maybe shocked) that the pollsters even remembered Sam Cooke or Elvis Presley.
We're also wondering if anyone under fifty even reads Rolling Stone anymore. Doesn't sound like it from this poll.
